John Radtke: Serving the Fixed-Income Market

In recent years, many U.S. investors have added corporate bonds and other fixed-income securities to their portfolios. At the same time, public companies like GE, Dow and Caterpillar have sought to diversify their capital structures by selling bonds to individual investors.

Today, Incapital LLC is playing a key role in that "matchmaking" process, helping the nation's broker-dealers deliver high-quality bonds to their retail customers through an innovative financial services platform. "We bring Wall Street to Main Street," says John Radtke, CEO of the fast-growing firm. "Our platform allows Fortune 500 companies to reach retail customers, providing them with new options to purchase these securities."

Incapital provides fixed-income underwriting, origination and education services to more than 700 broker-dealers, institutions, advisors and wealth managers. Structured Products Magazine has regularly named Incapital its "U.S. Structured Products Distributor of the Year." To date, retail and institutional customers have purchased more than $400 billion in securities through Incapital, which is headquartered in Chicago and has offices in eight states.

Radtke leads the firm's rapidly growing 145-employee workforce, including almost 100 experienced financial professionals based in Boca Raton. He is responsible for Incapital's U.S. and London-based operations, and has more than 25 years of experience with leading financial firms. In South Florida, Incapital is an active supporter of numerous charitable organizations, contributing nearly $500,000 in the last two years.

With a solid platform and substantial financial reserves, Incapital had no difficulty weathering the 2008 financial meltdown. Since then, the firm has been able to capitalize on growing investor demand for fixed-income securities.

With a diverse range of new issue and secondary market offerings, Incapital specializes in U.S. agency securities, corporate notes, CDs, mortgage-backed securities, municipal bonds, and structured notes. "We have expanded our platform, while staying away from any highly leveraged or speculative products," Radtke says.

"Our goal is to keep things simple for our clients and for the retail and institutional investors they serve."
